james goodfellow - mandolin

James has been playing mandolin for about 2 years but has been picking & writing bluegrass & traditional music for nearly a decade. Originally hailing from Mechanicsville, Virginia, he credits living for 4 years in the Blue Ridge mountains of Southwest Virginia as the root of his bluegrass obsession. In addition to the mandolin licks, James also contributes original songs and occasional vocals to the Clydes.
