Pat is originally from central Virginia, where he was introduced
to Blugrass some 25 years ago. While in VA he played rhythm
guitar and sang in several bands. Some of the acts that
influenced him the most include: The Lonesome River Band,
IIIrd Time Out, and singer and mandolin player Randy Graham.
After moving to Raleigh in 2000, Pat still had the longing
to make some "good ole string music". It wasn't
until 2004 that he met the other members of "The Right
Turn Clydes". While solidly rooted in bluegrass, Pat
enjoys the Clydes' occasional ventures into country, rock,
and blues as well.
